Different angle of the drill. It's a four meter and we sow 20 meter tramlines

final shot for tonight will post some pics of me working tommorow night. I will be sowing four different varietys of spring barley Golden Promise, Oxbridge, Optic and Decanter all in about 200 acres so weather permitting should be finnished in about 7 to 10 days

Yes they are optic seems to be quite a reliable malting barley on our farm and golden promise seems to be making its way back into the market

Ok, thats interesting. They are growing Optic in NZ, getting really good yields from it. ;-)

Yes aparently we are supposed to get some monday but hopefully i can get the golden promise sown today and tomorrow nits only one field but its 49 acres

The shear bolt didn't want to break so the plate did typical thing to happen when everything else is going so wellwill hopefully get it repaired tomorrow

yes it was the one on the other side did exactly the same while sowing the wheat last year it just seems to be a bit of a bad design

Yes I know what you mean. I all ways end up modifing my drill markers to make them mark better or stop them breaking or both. On my KRM the bearing hubs where made of plastic, they didnt last long. Hope you get your drilling done in good time,and can keep the rooks off :-)

Thanks this the first field i'm doing it's Golden Promise we normally dont start till the end of the month but we couldnt resist getting this field in when the going was good

Michael, dont blame you, it has realy dried up down here in a week, cant believe it ,we were soaking this time last week.Its amazing what can happen in March.Been spraying all week. Meant to rain and snow next week. :-\
