Nice pics, and even nicer MB-Trac. But some new paint wouldn't be bad :-)

Re: MB Trac 1500
Nice pics IHP, but its still not clear to me why this tractor is pulling a little harrow, is it pulling another tractor with a deep plow or something?

Re: MB Trac 1500
The small harrow is pointless really, hopefully explained why here;

http://www.farmphoto.com/fpv2/message.aspx?mid=395405

"Tractor Challenge 2006, Whiltshire, England.

The aim was to set the record for the most tractors working in a field at once. The term working is pretty loose - which the number of tractors it was impossible for them to cultivate properly as tractors had to follow directly behind them, so you could end up with a FW30 towing a tiny harrow - but some were there with the big ploughs and every now and a again would sink them deep to make the tractor sing."

Re: MB Trac 1500
Hi IHP. Thanks for your pics of the MB trac. You're absolutely right. There are far too little pics of the MB trac here at Farmphoto. :-(

Re: MB Trac 1500
You're welcome TC.
Perhaps YOU can do something against this "problem" and post some pics of MB tracs in Australia? :-)
Earlier you said there are only few there but I'd like to see some of them here. :-P

An example of an older model Merc here in Australia (not my photo, I found this on the internet & have posted it as an EXAMPLE) :-)

Re: MB Trac 1500
Thanks TasCowboy. Really kind of you :-)
I'm not sure whether the second one really is a later model. When I look at the levers for hydraulics and gear-shifting it seems as if it was an former grey and red model which has been repainted to make it look like a later one.

To jdeere: There's a gap in my collection I'm afraid :-\.
Of course I have some books about MB tracs but not the one you seem to talk about. If you have, please give some further information and post a pic of the cover, please.

Re: MB Trac 1500
Hi jdeere. I have this book. It is really great and includes a lot of brillant photos but there are no tracs to be delivered to AUS. I studied it several times and would be puzzled if I missed these informations and pics. ;-) I've only seen German tracs inside ...
