Re: Challenge
this case ih mx150 is also from '99. now almost 8900 hours.

first years he didn't made that much working hours. every season he made more and more hours, season '05 almost 1400 hours.
last season the tractor is used for work like this picture, many different drivers.

the work this tractor did before is now done bij a new tractor :-)

Re: Challenge
There is a former big time contractor here in Tas with some older model John Deere's that have 20000 + hours on them (& still going strong). Some have been rebuilt, some have new motors, etc but they are still in use. Models he has; 4020, 4230, 4440 2wd & FWA, 44450 MFWD, 8440 & 8450.

I have also heard of old Massey's (135 / 148 / 165 / 168) with 10000+ hours on them & while a little bit rough around the edges, they are still going strong.

Re: Challenge
My old 3140.... the clock stopped working about 15 years ago. I estimate it has done about 14,000 hours.... with no major problems. :-) :-)

Re: Challenge
This is my neighbours IH 856 XL, wich has almost 10000 hours. without any major problems I think...

Another of my neighbours had borrowed a Fendt 816 one time, when his 309 had to be repaired. That one had 13500, and it wasn't older than 10 years.....

Re: Challenge
i think its 73, and maybe youre right about the Ford. Ford is the most sold tractor brand in Denmark, so it has to be good;-)

Re: Challenge
Thanks for reply

First of all here is proof of the 8240 hours

Pieter this is what I’m talking about, The MX 150 is pretty rare in Sweden U mostly se the MX 135 witch is very popular and reliable I believe.

Jdeere I think it’s easier to tell you what we haven’t repaired on this Fergie then what we have repaired, :-D the list of original parts is pretty short ;-) The first couple of thousand hours was a nightmare but the more hours the more reliable it seems to be…

JCB 3230 What do you use the Deere to with those extreme tires, what dimension are they?

Tom We have got tree Fergies 3060 8240 and 8280... and two Ford/NH.:-[

Sarge What model is that old Ford, could it be a 4000? My dad clams it’s the best tractor ever made! :-\

Re: Challenge
is this one still with the Perkins or with a Sisu engine?

Re: Challenge
this one have a sisu engine, think it was the smallest with sisu. The Engine haven’t bin much trouble with maybe 3 water pumps, couple of generators, one or two start-engines, 2 diesel pumps and 2, I believe you call them head gaskets and one turbo, that what I remember at the moment but still the best part of the tractor, I’m not kidding…:-\
