an ''old mastodont''.during '70-es and '80-es,this tractors were main working units on a great state properties (former yugoslavia) farms, which measured up to 20 000hecatres of land.this one is smallest, with atmosferic 200hp engine.my frend bought this, before few monts for 2000e.it is still in working condition, only it needs new batteries and hektalitres of oil..
today tractors like this reprezents an relic from lost era...

Re: imt 5200
yes it has small tyres, but a lot of a grip,it is animal...well i'm not sure that is a nice tractor:-\...also,there was a model of 500hp...
this maschines where built only for state farms, typicall farmer could not buy this,or any other tractor from ''outside'',including other maschines..ploughs,drills...ect...
it is impressing, but not fun to drive.i wasn't drive it,but other drivers told me so.

Re: imt 5200
To my knowledge, ONLY ONE 5500 model was built and it had 517HP, and it is to the day the most powerful european tractor built ;-) It had Mercedes-Benz v12 Engine, but it never went into series production, because Yugoslavia fell apart at that time...

Never the less, the biggest IMT tractor in series production had bit more than 350HP, and was used only on big yugoslavina farms. No ordinary farmer could buy one...

Nowdays, theese tractors are well used, and fell into oblivion, because there are no spare parts available, and you need to patch them up anyway you can.

A happy story with a sad ending, if you ask me...

Re: imt 5200

There is original English model MF 1200 and 1250 brochure
http://www.konedata.net/Esitteet/MF1250esite.htm

And American model 1500/1800, 1505/1805, 4800, 4900

I think, IMT put too big engine . Bigest American model have "only " 375hp :-P
