i need help.i want to buy a new tractor for easyer operation:sowing, cultivation, spraying, sometimes for havy duty like pulling trailors in autumn(for sugar beet) and working with cyclotiller...candidates-McC mc 95(it has high clearence, and it is havyer,(better grip),case jx90u and McC cx95 more or less same specificatins, something less heavyer than mcC mc,and last one case jx90,small,cheap and maneuvarble...i think.what is best buy?:-\

Re: McC or IHC
I agree a bit with gilbert
Here is still the JD 6020 SE serie available.
the difference with the normal serie is other working lights, other dashboard, 4 in stead of 6 gears(but it has 4 step powershift) and some other small things.
I think the tractors you name are a bit cheaper though.

No 2nd hand?

Re: McC or IHC
i'm not interested for deer, the jx90u is 33000e + 22%pdv(state tax),and JD of 90 hp is 38000e+22%.i don't think that deer is so much better.i work little bit with that deer and it has to small cabine, and my brother in law has deers, and tolks only about deers, and i' don't want it.
i have never bought 2nd hand.

Re: McC or IHC
Why buying a Mccormick, Case or a Deere, why don't you buy an MF? an MF 5445, 5455, or MF 6445, 6455? Really good tractor's for a good price, and uses less fuel than a Deere. :-P But you want to know witch tractor you could better buy, a Case or McCormick, well, why don't you just test those tractor's and make your choice on the experience that you got than.
Good luck with buying the tractor

i did not think about mf.one of the reason why I don't want deer is fuel economy.

Re: McC or IHC
Isn't there any change of getting a demo tractor for a week or so? So you can see if you like the tractor or not?

Re: McC or IHC
robert, i thing that is not big difference between all new tractors (mf,jd, cnh, mcc, sdf) , and the best tractor for me is which have the best service. because you can buy and fendt also (even is more expensive but is probably the best tractor) but if it have bad service in your area and for one small failure it stay at home for week or more in garage it is bad tractor. my friend was buy new mcc xtx 185 http://www.farmphoto.com/fpv2/message.aspx?mid=245291#245291
http://www.farmphoto.com/fpv2/message.aspx?mid=245293#245293

in november it have some small failure in transmission, the tractor is still in his garage and wait for new part (even is still in warranty) so ask some other farmers in you area for his experience with service and then take a decision which tractor you will buy.

Re: McC or IHC
demo tractor no.I would be more than happy to test them!!i must found owners of that tractors and go to them.

frabrne,i have case 160hp,but diler is disaster.they broke things, not fix,and than they sent me a bill for things that did't fix....and prices for fuel filters are incredable...two filters cost 100e !!

Re: McC or IHC
best would be,get it from best dealer near you.
like you mentioned,if it sits in the garage broken,it wont help if price was low and dealer dont react. :-\

Re: McC or IHC
all dealers are very bad.....every one,who had some big problems with tractors,MF,JD,NH,had much more problems with dealers.
a had problems with new case-the belt was noisy, only when is cold outside, and engine is not worm up,it made nois.the service where three times coming and changing the belt and every time, after 100 work hours it start noice.now its ok.so there are no good dealers.i was thinking to buy a 2nd hand, that will be the best, but I' have never buy 2nd hand.
whan i have old tractors, than don't need more 'old' tractors.
thinking to buy a mccormick... :-\
case jxu has same seet like i do in mxm 155.it is good

Re: McC or IHC
Aren't those cases the same as NH nowadays? I don't know MCcormick... But how long will it exist? cause they moved production to italy what isn't a pluspoint in my eyes:-\
Why don't you try Claas? But for Claas I would wait until they come with new transmissions and engines end of this year. I hear they have few problems with Claas tractors.

Re: McC or IHC
yes SCHIZO.the case and NH is the same.i would first buy a nh instead of case, becouse i don't like case diler.
McC,has a more torque in engine than a case or nh.don't think to buy claas,i' driven it,cabine is not for my taste, and one frend has claas of 80 hp,now 3 years old,he is disapointed with it.needs much of fuel, and had some problems.
I first time hear that they move to italy...
TC from people i heard that they had a much trubles with diler of massey....:-(

huh:-\...after all, maybe is best to buy a brand new belarus...:-D....he he
when i need to fix it,just take a hummer....

Re: McC or IHC
Robert, what is the problem with the MF dealer than? And Claas got the same engine as a deere, so I'm not suppriced that Claas also uses a lot fuel.

Re: McC or IHC
Get a MF, you wont be dissapointed (but dont buy one from the old 6000 series). The best thing you could do is to get a second hand JD.
If you choose between a Case and a mcCormick go for the Case. They are reliable, the only bad thing is that their smaller tractors are based on Fiat tractors from the 1980s.

Re: McC or IHC
Mattis, why do you give him the advice not to buy a MF from the old 6100 series? what is in your eye's wrong with it, as far as I know there nothing wrong with.

Re: McC or IHC
Mattis,but I don't want 2nd hand,it's not worth to me to buy 2nd hand mashine.yes,what is with MF 6000?
between case and mccormick under 100hp,I think that mccormick is better...
Patrick, for MF some people have waited too much for delivery, up to 2 months, after delivery time was expire....

Re: McC or IHC
I shouldn't make your dessicion,by the advice of the peolpe here.

because the most here are kids or young adults, who can't tell you more than wat's standing in the brochures. and they have maybe driven a couple of diferent brands.

evrybody here has is own favourite make, so that one is the best.

Re: McC or IHC
@Nald - We are not all kids or young adults and we do not all have favorites brands.
Sorry but I missed it , what is yours suggestion , what he should buy ?

Re: McC or IHC
@ rotarko, I said: most

I don't give him advice, because I can't tell him more than what is standing in the brochures. and I only have driven a fendt favorit 3, an international 423 an international 733 and a fiat 80-90 dt hi-lo. So how in the world can I give him advice?

I also drive the mf 6480 and the fendt 936 on a demo (but that doesn't count) :-)

I suggest don't listen to the most people here on fp, because they don't know how to judge, price/prestation/dealership. problems and faillures. because the most only know thos types from pictures
