Re: 8530
good thing JD had it just a week ago at a sprig fair near here.
otherwise this tractor would not have been in this region.

Re: 8530
You have oil spot on the floor , is that from new JD :-P;-)
What is wrong with Fendt 926 ? How old is Fendt ? Why do you say "broke again" ?

Re: 8530
this contractor has about 4 JD's and 2 Fendts, but only because of reverse driving setup.

Re: 8530
could be Ratarko, but also from a other tractor.
the Fendt is nearly 9 years and over 10'000 h but dont know what let go now.
last fall is was the vario again (2nd time i think) and now maybe a electro problem again.
this tractor makes most work on big pto driven machines,so the vario should not let go.:-\

Re: 8530
I am just kidding about oil spot . It is to bad to hear that big Fendt have so much trouble with vario but over 10.000 working hours is very good usage.

Re: 8530
no,its okay
i just solved that, its from the 8530,but its only the crankcase venting pipe wich ends there,so after hard use it will collect a bit of oil and run down.
(should have a collecting container)

Re: 8530
But Jd has reverse driving setup too... And that is the first vario in that 926, they sometimes could get trouble. But the new vario is much improved and probably just as good or better then any other transmission:-) Nice deeres though. we have 2 deeres ourselves

Re: 8530
i know schizo, but he never pulled trailers with it,thats why it lastet 9000h,otherwise they only last 5000h.
this is his old 615 LSA with FEL.
note, this tractor has already a kind of vario, low speed are hydro driven, kind of a prototype.

Re: 8530
jdeere, the hydro driven 615(duospeed it's called i think) was nothing like a prototype, it was available everywere.
it had 4 'gears' up to 19 km/h if i remember well

note the piece under the headlights is a bit forward, that's were the hydro pump for it is.
therefor, no front pto available;-)

Re: 8530
Myes, they sometimes gave up early. I know a contractor who worked once here in the neighbourhood who had a 926 like that too. He managed to get 12000 hour out of it at that time (he did nothing else but pulling trailers) I never spoked to him again so I don't know what happened. Is the "prototype" holding out then?;-)

Re: 8530
Could be. :-D I know one with a 824 with 16000 hours in transport without any problems (only the normal stuff and sometimes a button) I think Fendt is also very good. But I am most of all anctious about how Claas tractors are gonna perform:-D

Re: 8530

Re: 8530
I heard they were gonna get ZF trannies because the contract with Gima will be ended end of the year under pressure of MF? Indeed Fendt is a bit more expensive if you compare a vario with autoquad but you also get a bit more in return when you give it in. I think the total cost of both will be sort of the same ;-)

Re: 8530
thats true and a bit better on fuel too.
about the Claas, the next few years will show how they are! :-[

Re: 8530
yes that's true. Our 7600 can consume up to 7 liters more an hour then our 514 when you push them both to their limit:-D
The european jd's like our 6300 however are very economical on fuel

Re: 8530
there sure still is a big diff.between the US-built vs. the EU-built one.

Re: 8530
Indeed. Eu-built is more allround while the US built have more affection to real fieldwork and less to trailerwork and so
