Gehl SP188 self-propelled forage harvester
:-D The newest addition to my self-propelled forage harvester collection. It is a 1968 Gehl SP188 with a 451 cubic inch Waukesha 135GZU gasoline engine. Picture taken on April 16, 2007 in Northeast Wisconsin. :-D

It looks similar to the FOX self propelled harvester.

Re: Gehl SP188 self-propelled forage harvester
Gehl built spfh's from 1955 until 1969. However I don't think very many were built as this is the only one I have ever seen. They built this model from 1967 until 1969. I will use it to do a little harvesting this year but with the gas prices being so high I won't use it very much. I plan to repaint it because the color is not correct, the spout, engine, and hood should be painted the same color as the wheels. I hope to have it in the antique display at the Wisconsin Farm Technology Days in July of 2008.:-D
