Madson 450 4wd tractor
Madson 450 4wd tractor custom build from aluminium. This was actually a Rite. Not many of the real tractors were made.

Re: Madson 450 4wd tractor
Can you tell me anything about the real Madson tractor? Where was it made, about when it was made, how big was it and any other information about it. Note: My first time on Farm Photo, any suggestions are welcome.

Re: Madson 450 4wd tractor
The Madson tractor was made in the USA by the Great Falls Iron Works in Montana. They were actually building the Rite 4wd tractors for Dave Curtis, but then suddenly the Iron Works started naming the tractors the Madson and calling the tractors their own. But only a few were named Madson before they were named Rite again. The Madson tractors were called back and renamed Rite. The Rite tractors were yellow and the Madsons were more of an yellow/orange color.

Very interesting I think !!

2 madsons were made and before dave could sue gfi they went broke. Dave bought back both those tractors over time and repainted and stickered them rite. His grandson farms with one of them north of Great falls right now.
