Re: MF 1150
im surprised this MF has a 510 engine and not a 590 like the
2775's had?
and doesnt it have 180hp not 130, a friend of mine has a 510
enigine out of a tank and it has around 175-180 hp.

I WANT THAT TRACTOR I BET SHE PULLS WELL, WHAT SORT OF
LIFT DOES IT HAVE ON THE ARMS PLEASE?

Re: MF 1150
Jim-

This tractor is our pride and joy!! This is the finest
runing, reliable tractor we have ever had! I will have to
get back to you on the arms. I can show you some pictures on
the implements that she uses.

Re: MF 1150
Jim,

The 1150 had appx. 6200lbs(2812kg) lift capacity on the
3point arms. That horsepower is for pto, more like 150-160
engine horses.
By the way the 2775-2805 models used the 640ci V8
Perkins(10.5L)

Nice photo!

Re: MF 1150
yes, sorry u are right it was another tractor with the 590
in.
I thought it would lift a bit more but it is still a tractor
i want i dunno where to get one from.
I AM GUESSING YOU LIVE IN AMERICA?
TELL ME WHY DID MF DECIDE TO GET A FAIRLY SMALL TRACTOR AND
PLONK A WHOPPIN V8 IN IT?
CAN I SEE SOME INPLEMENTS IF IT ISNT TOO MUCH TROUBLE?
LIKE WHAT FURROW PLOUGH WILL SHE PULL?

Re: MF 1150
Jim,

That was about the normal lift for most US tractors of that
size in the early 70s. I think they used the V8 in it
because Perkins did not have a 6 cylinder big enough for
that horsepower.
Maybe Matt will post some pics of the 1150 with different
implements. I have seen them hooked to 7 furrow ploughs.

Re: MF 1150
I was talking with my Dad and he said that the most that the
1150 could lift on the 3 point hitch is 11,000lbs. Which is
alot. It is about 140hp. The largest plow we have had on it
was a 6 bottom plow. It pulled it like a hot knife through
butter! Its a great tractor!!!:-D
