Planting Corn in Nebraska
Here is a picture I took last week. We are about half done
planting corn here in eastern Nebraska. Kinda on hold right
now since we have caught a little rain in the last few days.
This is our JD 4630 and JD 7100 12 row 30 inch planter.
Happy planting.

Another pic. JD 4840 and Buffalo 6 row stalk chopper. We
run ridge till and usually go over the stalks twice. It
leaves enough residue to hold the sand in place, but gets
the stalks out of the way to give a good clean planting
surface.

Ok, so the disk is a little big, but our 4430 is at our
other farm near Aurora, Nebraska. We are just using the 4020
to disk some ends, gives the old tractor a good work out.

How's things your way Doug? Still planting corn here, but
will be stopped probably this entire week, as they are
calling for some rough weather here, plus we got a nice rain
Saturday night. Very nice pics. I like those saddle tanks on
that 4630. Good luck planting.

Re: Planting Corn in Nebraska
Hey Lance, it's going good here. Been catching some pretty
good rains lately. We already have had more rain in the
last month than we did all last summer. North of us they
had about 6 inches of hail the other day. Definetly could
do without that, especially since we have corn up. Godd
luck with your planting in the south.
