Skunk Calf
This calf was sired by an Angus bull; he sorta looks like a
baldy calf, but his tail's white instead of his head
Re: Skunk Calf
Nice pic.Am interested to hear the latest about 'Skunk'.
Have you kept him?
Is he destined to be beef?
Would like to see how he looks now, any chance of a recent
Re: Skunk Calf
"Skunk" was weaned and sold around September 2003 at a
feeder calf sale. I think this is the only picture I have
of him. The cow, #200, lost her calf that was born this
year, and will probably be sold as a cull-she's lost two
others. Here's a picture of Mickey, "Skunks" sire, (and
also my "pet" bull:-)).
Re: Skunk Calf
Many thanks for your reply, Mickey is handsome, beautiful
creature :-)
We used to have a Blonde D'Aquitaine, Bing was gentle and
placid, perhaps too quiet as his calves sometimes gave us
cause for concern as they didn't display any 'up and go'and
could be quite dozy, although we didn't loose any and he did
produce an animal with a good beef confirmation.
We sold him when we gave up sucklers, an upsetting day as he
was special.
Mickey looks in fine fettle, thanks, regards Diana.
