thought i would share some pics of my new mf 2640 with you, based on the early launch version with older style decals, ,running on uh valtra c front axel and rears
as you can see shes got opening rear screen and door

Good job. :-) Did you glue the door in this position or can it swing open and be closed? If so could you post a pic of this mechanism?

the door and rear screen are both fully opening/closing, cant get a pic as it's all fixed down now, but it basicly 2 small holes drilled top and bottom of the door once its cut from the cab, then 2 shotr bits of 1/32nd brass rod inserted into those, 1 hole in the top of the cab, and one in the arches are where these then sit, next one i do(2640 2wd) i will take a pic or two for you

I didn't really know whether I should ask or not because it could have been your secret of production and I didn't want to be too curious. The more I'm happy that you told me. Some pics would be very much appreciated.

if you go to http://www.farmtoysforum.com,and join up (its free by the way) you can find loads more mf convos by me and other members, plus loads of other stuff inc regular pre launch photos from britains/ertl them selfs,and other makes,

had a bit of a change arround with the rear wheels, as i wasnt happy with the hub style, mf2640's never had square hubs like the origonals, think thses look better now

heres a few pics of the 2wd option i am revamping, i built this a good 2 years ago, but it didnt have the working door ect, so decided to up grade her, rear screen will open / shut to, will post some pics as requested of the door hinge system later on for you all

its fitted with a britains jd 4020 front axel, and the tyres scale perfectly to the brouchure specs i have for it
