because you get the land leveld like that. we do it allways on the farm i work.

We actually had cultivated this field on an angle. We do this to level up the field and it makes it easier to plant straight, because you aren't following the cultivator and you can see your marks better. :-D

We did the same thing this year: we cultivated the 2nd pass across. It is a quiet bumpy, no matter how good your cultivator works.

Thats why I asked the question, I thought it would be bumpy. The best way I have found to level ground is to work in an X type pattern, to the ploughing (gentle angles being better than sharp angles).
