You wanted me to add some details to my 1500 with flotation tires. Your wish is my command ... :-) And another one with duals for sugarbeet harvesting I made. I still have to add some glass to the cabin.

Re: MB trac 1500 x 2
Hi andy_D: How did you come to this conclusion ?? :-D
In my opinion MB tracs and Schlüters were the best tractors of their time - and they don't have to hide nowadays. They were different and had some special technical solutions the other brands brought to the customers many years later.
This made them extraordinary and in my opinion their design was and still is very nice. Now there are much larger tractors but at their time they were the most impressive machines.

Re: MB trac 1500 x 2
thanks for the reply! you really know your stuff!. Just another small question you might be able to answer for me, are JCB fastrac or what ever they are called the same company as these you post?

Re: MB trac 1500 x 2
Hi Andy, No - JCB Fastrac has nothing to do with MB trac.
MB trac is - as you might know - Mercedes Benz and they unfortunately stopped producing the trac in 1991 after a miscarried cooperation with Deutz.
They wanted to pool their trac-building-knowledge but failed because they could not decide between the MB trac and the less successful Intrac made by Deutz.
I think this is typical for Germany :-\: There were so many brands with revolutionary technical solutions but the farmers didn't want them because they were reactionary.
We have a proverb here: "What the farmer doesn't know he will not eat." I think this was the sentence of death for many brillant technical developments. It is tragic that all these solutions are common now and the same farmers think they are indispensable now.

Re: MB trac 1500 x 2
thanks MB.
it was the shape that made me think there was a relation between these two machines. they look so similar in size and shape at a quick glance.
i get what you mean by the last half of your reply;-) happens here too with many new ideas or new machines they must prove themselves first but no one will give them a go untill its too late and the idea is dumped.
thanks again
Andy

That's the combination my dad owned some years ago, the mb with gilles harvester..:-D

The only differents are that he had a 1300 and he had only duals at the back..;-)
