we think it was electrical as the fire was isolated to the tractor only

On the contrary, that looks to be in pretty rough shape for 10,000 hours! :-D

What a pity, obviously was a good tractor for you to be at 10,000 hours and still be happy with it. :-(

these do seem to been pretty robust tractors, the contractor i work for has a 8260 non turbo with 12000hrs on, its showing signs of wear in the linkage tou, they have jus got rid of a 8260 turbo with the same hours on, that had been on the fushion baler for the last couple of years before it was replaced with a tm.
