I think it's a Landini but I'm not quite sure.

Re: Pictures from the good old days!
These pics are really interesting.
Do you have some more of the MB trac?
Was it a common practice to lay down sugar beet as a whole and cutting the leaves off in the second step or are these forage beets? (1. pic)
JD baler already in 1976: Here in Germany this would have been very exotic as here we almost only had CLAAS and Welger. Were JD balers common in the NL already in the 70s?

Nice you like them!
More pics of the MB-Trac will follow ;-)
I think so, I wasn't born back then
Also that is something I don't know, maybe some other people here do know that? I will ask it to my dad tonight.

Great Photos.

MB Trac: Here JD balers were pretty unusual. Not so common as Welger and Claas. But also JD, IH, MF and New Holland balers from the 70´s you can find add´s off them for sale. And also a brand called "Rivierre Casalis ...." dont remember.

Look this add : http://www.blocket.se/vi/12000979.htm?ca=10_s 1000euros....

Re: Pictures from the good old days!
In the '70 we also owned a JD press, so here in NL there were more of them. We also owned a International before we had the JD.. Soon as I get myself a scanner I'll post also some very very nice old pictures of our MB tracs IF i can find more of them.. I only own a few, but some employees will have more of the 1600 and 1500's.. :-)

Nice with photos from the past!

The tractor towing the trailer in the first photo looks like a BM Volvo 350, the tractor in the fourt photo with the crane looks more like an MF 65. Correct me if I am wrong.

About blers - don't everybody forget Köla? Köla was very common in our part of Sweden, Köla was German and became later Fahr, and now Deutz-Fahr. In the early 70's all contractors had Köla here, no farmer owned a heavy baler then, if anyone got a baler it was a light or medium baler. Later when Köla became Fahr they all changed to Claas or JD.

Woops, big shame on me :-[ You're exactly right, the tractor on the 1st pic is indeed a BM Volvo 350. Later they stretched it out and fitted a Perkins combine engine. It was going like a train back then! But there are no pics of it :-(

Re: Pictures from the good old days!
Those little balers of JD aren't any good. I know several people who had one who had extremely high maintenance costs with it:-\
