Re: Ransomes Crusader combine
These were built in Great Britain somewhere. I think Ransomes equpment was often sold by Ford dealers back in the mid 20th century. I suspect they may have had some relationship with Volvo combines (or a forerunner) at one time. They had a small drum or pre thresher ahead of the main drum (cylinder) . The engine was mouned on the side on some models behind the left mounted driver. I think on the video I have somewhere they were successful combine. Like many national brands they did not survive as an independent and my guess is they did not have the deep pockets for research or the distribution of companies like Claas and NH.
