Borgeby Field days
A JD 8530 and a Fendt 936 on the same picture...

This can be seen on Borgeby Field days, which is a farm event in south Sweden today and tomorrow 27-28 june 2007. This is a combined field show and machine exhibition. You can see both crops and everything around the cropping and field work.

The tractors above could be seen on Väderstads demo field.

Re: Borgeby Field days
Here is the Fendt 936 with a Väderstad Top Down cultivator. Even if it don't rained for the moment it was wet in the ground, so it was hard to se how the different machines really worked, and not all wanted to get their sets dirty.

Re: Borgeby Field days
There was also some grass harvest demos, here a picture of the wrapping process in the integrated baler/wrapper Taarup Bio. This is certainly a compact baler, but it takes time to stop the baler for the wrapping process.

Re: Borgeby Field days
To get a fast overview you could take this "bus" around the field. They used some vintage tractors towing trailers with seats around the field. Here a nicely restored Volvo 350 Boxer.

Re: Borgeby Field days
The crop field also included this intresting "hole" digged showing the soil in cross section. Here they showed different crops, wheel pressures and weights and slurry spreading methods and how this affects the soil "down under". Very informative!:-)

Re: Borgeby Field days
This field days have growth a lot during the years. All the big brands in Sweden are there, not with complete programs but with some examples. Here Claas line up, and this may be the big news for us in Sweden - Claas just introduced their tractors here, and Renault has never managed to sell more than 1 or 2 tractors each year before. Now as Claas are sold by leading deler group the hope a lot. They are already the leading brand for combines, balers and SPFH's.

Challeger or quad...wonder wich one í have to buy..... :-P

Very nice pictures Lennart.

Some challengers are sold here so the some quads will find their way to some swedish farmers..... I think.

No NH machinery?

Re: Borgeby Field days
@Marco; Thx!:-)

@TC; It sure was very intresting, 5 hours were to little. Planned to go today to, but it is raining to much! We had some machinery we planned to look at, so we missed most of the crops!

@4 CROPS; I left it for Stark1!;-)

@Stark1; Nice problem..... I think we will see more of the big iron up in your area. We have to much special crops that needs more universal use of tractors. There was NH equipment too, but no pictures, sorry!

Nice pictures Lennart!
I also run around and looked at all the nice machines on Borgeby, it has gotten quite big! This Xerion, and one more exactly the same was bought by Hönsinge mekaniska. Talk about giving the employees a lift against the old Fiat 180-90 the drove.. =)

Re: Borgeby Field days
Thx Christian!

What do they use the Xerions for? Hönsinge Mekaniska sounds like a mechanical work shop?
