At a local dealer, note the two different size and style tires between the inner and outer duals.

Re: 7520
Erick - you have posted a bunch of very intresting photos! And maybe saved the best to the end, or nearby.

I have the same question as MB trac, and also a wonder if it is possible to put such a tractor in a container? Maybe Robin Bos can tell us how they imported their 7020?

Re: 7520
Lennart there is a clean one listed for sale on tractor house's website for $12,500 U.S..

Of course shipping to Europe shouldn't be too hard. If you are interested, I can possibly help you.

One thing I would do is to properly protect (wrap in plastic possibly) the tractor from the salty air.

Re: 7520
This one is official imported to europe in the early 70's, when it was brand new. RORO (Roll on, Roll off) i think. I know a company who does import of jd5020, 5010 and tractors like that, they dismantle the rear end, left and right axle. You can take off the front axle of an 7520, and dismantle left and right rear axle. If you have airco you have to take off that one too (on the roof).

Re: 7520
The 7520 on the photo has got very short axles. so take off the duals, cab and exaust, and i am olmost sure it will fit on it's own wheels!!

Re: 7520
Another question to you specialists (I'm not): Can you get such a tractor in reasonable condition for $ 12.500 or is this just a scrapheap? I thought the price would be more than 20.000. That's indeed something to think about for that price. Another dream and something to bring up for discussion with my wife. :-P

Re: 7520
This is an picture of the website of the previous owner, Owner of 3 7020's at that time. He sold the one in the midle to my boss, the only one with 3pt hitch. The others are pre-1970's, they have got plates on the hood in stead of decalls, just like the 4020, different intercooler too. The most left one (with airco:-D) is still for sale in Holland @ http://www.klassiekamerikaansetractoren.nl/index2.html

This site is totally in Dutch, but you have to click 'Te Koop', that is the 'for sale' section.

Re: 7520
You have to keep in mind the 7520 were built between 1972 and 1975, so well over 30 years old.

But I personally believe that it would still be a good tractor to work with in 2007, but you would be best to inquire to a few John Deere mechanics.

Re: 7520
Thank you all for these fast replies. I'm aware of the age but when I look at the prices demanded (and paid) for MB tracs of that age this is a bargain for such an impressing machine. I thought such a tractor was totally out of reach but now ... I have to keep this in mind ... :-)

Re: 7520
How comes an MB trac of the same age is much more expensive? You see some MB-tracs around here, but there are a lot more JD-drivers...

Re: 7520
The old 7520 was never produced in a 1/16 scale replica, as far as I know it was in a 1/32 scale.

I don't know if you guys collect any John Deere Precision or Collector editions replicas, but I can tell you that there is a few nice once ready for this fall.

Here is a link to a 1/32 7520 from a guy in the U.K.

Re: 7520
here you got mine 7520 1/32 next to the 9420T precision.
Great model, but it's kinda expensive.
You also have a 7020 toyfarmer, wich is even nicer but some more expensive.
If you want some more pics of those models, just say it, or look at the history of 'Gilbert Roebroek';-)

Re: 7520
Nice Gerbert.

Did you make the display cabinet?

07/02/07

I just discovered that the 7520 replica was made in a 1/16 scale in 1972. But this one is kind of hard to find, if you do you find it, it's rather expensive.
