Rear and last view. As we had to hurry with the grass harvest I didn't manage to get any pictures from the work in the forrest, but there was also the biggest Ponsse harvester.

Re: Ponsse forwarder
Thanks GHMB!

TC, no it was not a big job, but big trees and the machines where in the area. The machines was and the drivers came from Finland and were hired by the buyer of the trees.

Re: Ponsse forwarder
I don't know the name of the company. As I wrote above there was also a big Ponsse harvester.

You have to check with them if they have been in Sweden and Halland? I know that they lived in a cottage between Falkenberg and Ullared.

Re: Ponsse forwarder
verry nice pictures lennart.

I hope to see some pictures about your forestry work too.

are those trees quite big for your area, or look the trees small on such a gigantic forwarder ? I work partime on a tree service company, but we if we speak about big trees the are bigger than 1 or 1.2 meter. :-P

Re: Ponsse forwarder
@A. van Herk; Thanks.

This is timber from spruce and pine, and final harvest, mainly timber. Top logs go as pulp wood.
High quality timber from spruce and pine are allowed to be diameter 18 (sometimes 12) to 75 cm. It is the same for pulp wood but minimum diameter 5 cm. Length for timber is 2,8 to 5,8 m. Pulp wood recommended 3 m.

@Farmer Steven; Ponsse make their own cranes, but all the nordic forest machines are built in the same way!
