Re: Case IH Steiger 430 HD
Jdeere I believe that they started adding steps on the right (or left as you mentioned) with the STX series.

I forgot to attach the photo (see bellow).

Re: Case IH Steiger 430 HD
Thanks for clearing that up Colin. I was not sure what a stack was.

I had heard of a stack of hay, but wasn't aware that in certain countries, the exhaust and air intake are referred to a stack.

I always learn something, sorry about the misunderstanding jdeere. To my knowledge it's the first time that they mounted the exhaust on the left. I am not sure what the advantage would be. Thanks for pointing that out to me jdeere.

According to a photo that I saw on Case IH’s website it seems that not all the HD models have the exhaust on the left side. Let me know, if you know why this would be.

Nothing... very interesting the muffler thing, is the first time I see a 4wd tractor with the muffler on that side (a new one). where is this dealership located?
Best regards.

Re: Case IH Steiger 430 HD
exhaust is probably because of a iveco engine as apposed to cummins

scraperspec is HD on the side of the bonnet

different drawbar, wire rope for towing, and hook up for lazer leveling on hyd........and probably some other stuff

Certain horsepower models due to the engine have the exhaust on the left hand side

The answer is: only STX380 and 430 have their exhaust on the left, just beside the air filter.

You'll also notice that the smaller STX Steigers, STX275/280/325/335, have their air filter inside the hood, so no air intake seen outside.

HD=heavy duty. Scraper special are always 'HD' models with strengthed axles and etc, yet you can use the HD model for agri use.
