renault 951-4
mowing with renault 951-4, right now, we are mowing with
ford 5000 because 2 windows from the renaultbroke because
there flew rocks in the cabine and the gears are not good at
all. when you drive on the road fe, he falls out of the gear
and its not very safe.
does anybody have the same problems with renault?
Re: renault 951-4
old tractor, old gears...

our old renault never had any problems, but i know some
people who started getting problems whith the gears after 25
years. i think that's pretty normal
Re: renault 951-4
HA-HA. That's what you get for buying French! I have used a
3 year old Renault that already suffered these problems. It
will be in the dump long before 25 years passes. :-D
Re: renault 951-4
That problems with the gears is a common problem with all
the older renault tractors, gears braking trew, falling out of
the gear,...
Re: renault 951-4
not true, the older series of renault are very good. we've
had several of them and never had any problems. we still use
a 651 and thats one strong tractor and never had any
problems with it.
we've had a ceres 95x since '96 but thats crap. have heart
the ares series of renault are not that good either. not
sure if thats true

Re: renault 951-4
the ares series is an excelent tractor. we are very pleased
with both the ares 610 and the 735. cergos is a good tractor
too, but he could have had better hydraulics.

we have had the ares tractors now for almost two years in
indonesia, and never had a breakdown. exccept for the
frontloader on the cergos. both cilinders for tipping have
already been replaced. but no complaints about the ares.
