Re: fendt 818 crash
in the other thread he says "50 ks", wich is german for 50 km/h, so my guess is germany.
It sure is a crappy cab if you fall

Re: fendt 818 crash
"50ks" is german for "50km/h"? I don´t think so.

@Jdeere: This stupidity is enforced by law. It is compulsory to have the FEL at least 2 metres above the ground when travelling on the road.
This makes the tractor very top-heavy, especially when you have something heavy attached, i. e. a grapple. When I have an implement attached to the FEL I always keep it down but if a cyclist or motorist rides into it on a crossroads, I´m in big trouble:-\

Re: fendt 818 crash
We have km / hour here too, as I am sure other countries do too.

Sometimes the law is an ass but we have to abide by it, or else....:-P

Re: fendt 818 crash
that right Einachser, this law should be relookt at,cause this must be from the 60's.
if the sharp edge is covred in front it should be okay.
wheelloaders just need the cover and light in front and travele with the loader down.
TC,Gerbert is trying to say 50 k's is legal in germany, one of only a few countrys where you are allowed 50 with a tractor.

Re: fendt 818 crash
I guess there arent really alot of tractors that can go in excess of 50km per hour are there?

I dont know of any limits here in Tasmania. There are Fastracs & MB Tracs that get around on roads here, so I dont reckon there are any limitations on this type of gear over here,

Cheers,

TC ;-)

Re: fendt 818 crash
einachser, 50 ks means 50 kilometer/stunde doesn't it?
at least, that's what i thought.
Tha only thing you have to do with your fel here is put something in front of the sharp points.

Re: fendt 818 crash
@Gerbert: Yes, "Kilometer pro Stunde" is a common term, but I have never seen anybody use the abbrevation "ks", only "km/h", but who knows, and more importantly, who cares:-D
