Rain damaged crops in our area
Today I have taken some photos of crops in our area showing damages from all the raining. I have finished keeoing the record of the rain but it is now something 350-400 mm the last month. No one of the photos are taken on our own crops.

Above a sugar beat field near where i live. It don't look good. In the small pond there swimmed a duck!

This is a field of winter wheat, probably supposed for bakery meal, but if it don't dries up fast it will probably loose quality and go as feed.

This is a neighbours pea field. This is peas supposed as food - frozen peas from Findus. The field where planned to be harvested this friday (27) but even if there are spots with good peas it is not possible to drive on the field.

Same field again. The tracks comes from that the farmer has spread some nitrogen last week when it dried up to give som push to the growth.

Tomorrow me a some farmers from our area shall go on a study tour to Findus pea factory. We shall also look at a harvesting team. I will have my camera with me!

Interesting photos Lennart. Terrible to see such damage. How are your crops holding on?

Re: Rain damaged crops in our area
Thanks Lennart.

As with any sort of weather conditions, I guess some have been luckier than others. However no damage is good damage :-[
