Do you know what happened to cause this Marv? How old is the pivot?

Re: Bad luck
I hope that your neighbor doesn't have to pay the whole bill.

Nice photos and beautiful field of alfalfa Marv!

Re: Bad luck
Pivot is about 5yrs old it has a 15 yr prorated warranty. The pipe in this pivot is stainless steel so it will be expensive to replace. I walked the pivot and couldn't see any obvious reason for failure. I will try to remember to post the reason as soon as I know.

Re: Bad luck
Very sad. Maybe a fatal flaw in construction? And sometimes there is a difference between stainless steel and stainless steel.:-P

Re: Bad luck
Only thing i can think of, is misalignment of the wheels so they steer away (trying to make a larger circle than the pivot length) so they put a continuous pulling force on the end of the pivot, eventually pulling themself from underneath the construction to the side... ??
