They were obviously "THE" combine around here 20 years ago but notoriously unreliable (even old mf lovers say this) Junk in the tank ,grain on the floor and terrible thrashing ,Had to fill em with filler plates .But fixing every day ,Even when they were new .Since the IH rotaries came oround you dont see em any-more nice ones can go for $750 ?

Ok, thats interesting.

A contractor had one here (since been replaced by a New Holland TX 65 PLUS) & never had any major dramas with it.It was used on grain, grass seed, pea& poppies, with a 20ft front & a couple of pickup fronts.

Don't get me wrong i'm not afraid of red paint 3120,2680 and 390t are 3 of the best tractors i've had ,But these days most people are running NH or IH rotaries ,Much easier maintenance and more reliable than any side-cab conventional MF,JD whatever .
