Case IH
I will be posting a few photos of different Case IH tractors photos that I took at the Case IH dealer.

If you would like to see more photos of a particular tractors, let me know. I should be in this area this week-end, and will try to get it for you. Or I might have them on one of my CD's.

Re: Case IH
Are the JD's & Case IH the two most popular brands for tractors in your area Tony?

Cheers,

TC ;-)

Re: Case IH
Tony is it too much to ask for a new Steiger 535 photo?
Case is my second favorite brand, thanks 4 the photos.

Re: Case IH
Yes they are TC. But John Deere is the leader.

There are also a few New Holland tractors.

Victor I will try to get a photo of a new 535, but I don't think that they have any. But you never know. I have some photos of a used 530, but I believe that you have seen those already.

Re: Case IH
Thank you for the information jdeere.

Will the iveco engine be better than the Cummins?

I am not sure if this was a good move by Case IH.

The Case IH Steiger 535 HD comes with a Cummins engine.

Re: Case IH
imo, iveco is about the worst brand, research for engines is done only 5 min.fro where i live.
its the former truck manufact.Saurer wich had 30 years ago 4 valve and turbo already, but went broke.
this engine has nothing to do with it and the technicans have to do what Italy says.
raise rpm and lower displacement, wich is stupid.
as far as i remember are about three models with that 12,9 in the mid range.
all the others have Cummins, well the smaller ones are called CIH engine, but are just a joint venture thing and are actually Cummins too.

Re: Case IH
Thank you for the information jdeere.

So why did they use a iveco engine?

They should just let the Swiss do what is right.

Was it only to cut the manufacturing cost. I guess there again a lot of Italian influence maybe.

I wished that Case IH's parent company CNH's headquarters were here in the U.S.A. like Deere & Company's is.

Re: Case IH
A mechanic at our CaseIH dealer says that a Cummins has a tough time between 7000-10 000 hours. Once they get passed that it's ok. Because they had some who broke their driveshaft and other problems between 7000 and 10 000 hours. And Iveco is from the The Fiat groups just like CNH and Fiat has relations with the vatican and the mafia. so yeah...:-D:-P

Or in some more nothern european country like germany/austria, denmark norway, finland or sweden. those are the countries who built the high quality equipment;-)

Re: Case IH
the thing is,the swiss engine and truck builder Saurer has been taken over by Iveco about 20 years ago. :-\
so they are the boss, the engines are built in Italy and maybe some in Germany,i dont know exactly.
the CIH group likes to take "in house"parts and maybe Cummins dont have this size around 12lt.
on the other way,Iveco lables the 5.9 Cummins in there small trucks as a Iveco. :-(
