Re: John Deere 2008 Product Presentation
jdeere, right now the main jobs for young people are in call centers from large companies such as Hewlett Packard, Procter & Gamble, etc. who needs persons that speak english. In agriculture there are few jobs mostly for agricultural engineers in drainage, irrigation and agricultural machinery management. Here in CR unfortunately agriculture doesn´t have much government support and we´re a very small country that depends on pineapple, bananas, melons, coffee for export.
Hope to hear from you soon.
Regards,
Victor

Re: John Deere 2008 Product Presentation
jdeere, sorry I didn´t understand you. Concerning ag, right now in CR the strongest product is pineapple. Sugarcane is also strong, specially for the ethanol production and sugar export. Other crops we have are: melons, coffee, rice. Here since we´re a small and poor country there aren´t too much contractors (I knew only two and one of them died) here the farms preffer to have their own machinery. Usually the owners don´t drive the tractors, they hire operators for that job. Some farms produce corn as forage for cattle, but not too much. Pineapple and sugarcane are year-round crops. Melons are seasonal, rice can be planted 2 maybe 3 times a year, as well as corn.
What about swiss crops?
regards,
Victor
