Re: Onion Seed Crop
Another.

I shall get some more shots as this crop progresses, as it is next to a lucerne seed crop that I am looking after on the same farm :-)

TC he is either very simple or he has had a keyboard error.....an error with the operator...LOL:-D
a nice few threads you have started here keenly awaiting their progress. Im guessing that all these crops shown just planted are spring crops?

Re: Onion Seed Crop
Yes, late winter / early spring crops Andy.

The seed onions usually go in late April / early May but these are for a company called Webster Fresh, as seed for their next season's commercial export onion crops, so maybe they needed to be planted later.

This guy was having trouble with cockatoos pulling the bulbs out last time I was talking to them, just being pests :-P

Re: Onion Seed Crop
I think they may have been feeding them some lead :-P

Just being destructive pulling the bulbs out. They have 1 Ha in & it took one man about a day to put the bulbs back in that had been pulled out!
