Re: cutting timothe
Timothy for hay JD?

Used to be a commonly seen grass here when I was a lad but now you only see it along fence line& road sides, where there hasnt been any cultivation done.

Re: cutting timothe
Ok thanks.

Oaten hay for export to Japan is big here in parts of Australia, must be a strong demand for it I suppose?

Re: cutting timothe
we made millet hay in Victoria back in the 90's when i was there, also for japan.
there more and more asian countrys with big demand for "stalky stuff" since dairy products are getting popular.

Re: cutting timothe
I think the Oaten hay has got quite a good reputation now, as has Lucerne (alfalfa) hay.

Re: cutting timothe
off again,
unfortunly the tractor is'nt level due to the 55 series front axle.
88 models from the 50 series got it too.
there would still be some improvment with a taller rear tire size wich is still possible, regarding the ratio to the front.

Re: cutting timothe
rollers of corse, but its 7 years old already.
this one resived a set of special rollers with a unique pressure system, air bags instead of springs.
it will save you at least two days in drying time. ;-)

Re: cutting timothe
Ok, looks in very good nick for a 7 year old mower, he must look after it well & keep it sheeded in the off season, by the looks of it :-)
