Some new features
A quick note to let you know about some new features if you haven't seen them yet. Firstly, you can now expand and collapse thread messages. I find it helpful if I want a quick overview of a thread page, or if i want to see all the people involved in a thread. There are two buttons at the top of each page that will allow you to expand or collapse the entire page. Otherwise you can do the same for individual messages by clicking on the header bar of the individual message.

Re: Some new features
The second new feature I wanted to mention was the addition of a "toggle embed code" link to each image. This link shows and hides code that can be used to embed the image on other web sites.

I did this to make it easier for people who want to post a photo to FP but also want to put it on their own website or also discuss it on other forums. I don't have a problem with people doing this because my image host seems to have plenty of capacity and because I think it can only promote FP.

Of course, it goes without saying that you should always credit the photo owner if you display an image that does not belong to you.

Re: Some new features
Stu, I have a question.

To reply in a thread you can push on 'Add message' and 'Quick reply', but why do you have to choose by 'Add message' between only text or text and image? If you want to reply with only text you can do it with 'Quick reply'.

So I think it is useless to choose 'Text only' in the 'Add message' screen. :-[

I hope you understand this and I hope my english is correct. ;-)

Re: Some new features
@nneS: Yes, that's pretty ugly. I will get rid of that.

@JDP: Yes, it doesn't make a lot of sense. It's there because doing it that way allows me to reuse the posting form code. :-[ Is it a problem?

Re: Some new features
Stu, I don't say it is a problem, but I just wanted to know why it is as it is.

I also agree with Victor, every time you change something it is allways getting better and better! :-) My compliments to you! ;-)

Re: Some new features
Thanks for the comments guys.

Here is another feature you might find useful. When you are logged in you will see a link called 'My Threads' at the top right of each page.

This page shows recent activity on any thread you have contributed to. The idea is to make it easier to track threads you are interested in. In a way this is an alternative to email subscriptions. The idea was contributed by Josh A.

Check it out and let me know if you find problems or have ideas to make it better.

Re: Some new features
I agrre 100% with jdeere, now I always starts a session at FP with looking at "My Treads".

I have another wish - if it is possible to make another list like that one but only with threads I have started? Using the history can take quite long time if you want to find a certain tread started in the middle of your career in FP.

Re: Some new features
@jdeere : Yes, I am using it a lot also :-)

@Lennart: I am not sure I fully understand. Do you want it to be like the 'My History' list but only show one listing for each thread you start OR do you want it to be like 'My Threads' but only show the latest reply on threads that you have started?

Edit: PS. Thank Josh for the "My Threads" because it was his idea.... :-)

Re: Some new features
@Lennart: I don't know if something like this would be useful? Note that you can filter the results using the boxes at the bottom as well as search for keywords.
