I am a farm appraiser so am in constant need of "up to date"
aerial photos. What is my best Internet source?

Thank you,

Re: Current aerial photos
Dan, it's tough to answer with out knowing more about the
types of photographs you need. Are any of the below any
good?

http://www.earthscan.com
http://www.terraserver.com/

Or do you need more scenic type images?

Re: Current aerial photos
If you're looking for images to calculate areas you
probably
want vertical aerial imagery. There a a number of places on
the net to get stuff like this. Ideally you want
georeferenced imagery so you can stick in in a GIS and
easily work out areas... One good source is USGS digital
orthoquads.

If you search around on the web you might be able to find a
source to download these free for your area. Otherwise you
can get them from www.terraserver.com or
on cdrom from USGS

Stu

I'm in Australia and we use some local software to assist
with catchment managment (300k+ acres). Use this to work out
areas of noxious weeds etc from satelite imagery. This may
be what you are looking for
