Re: John Deere 7430 Premium
Last photo for now. I have more photos of this tractor and will try to add them to this thread later on.

I was told that this was the first 7430 Premium in Quebec, Canada.

It really gives an idea on the physical size of the machine when you see it next to the 6030s...

Re: John Deere 7430 Premium
Sat in my first 7430 last Saturday. Was pleasantly surprised, and moderately pleased. It really is more of a mid-frame, rather than a small frame, and although they did do some stupid things... overall it's not bad.

Re: John Deere 7430 Premium
Things I didn't like... I didn't spend much time around it but... as far as the cab goes...

- Folding instructional seat again, is an add-on accessory, bolts into the side of the tractor cab and is in the way of cab entry and exiting.
- Analog dash...
- Dash adjustment control... 2 separate levers for angle and telescopic adjustments, both equally hidden and awkward.

The tractor I was in was an AutoQuad, and could not for the life of me find a good seat position where the controls felt natural, or even moderately comfortable. Without actually driving it, that E-range seems an awful long way from the seat, and I doubt I'd like shifting into road range while at road speeds. Unlike previous models, they really stretched the cab, and without the (IVT)CommandARM that means the controls are a lot farther away. Even the hand throttle requires leaning forward in your seat and reaching for it. It really felt like CNH's Horizon cab(TSA/T6000,T7000, MXU, Puma), you needed to be stretching your arms to reach the controls.

I'll have to actually drive it, or at least pay attention next time, these are just the things that jumped out at me.
