I will be posting a few different photos of different farms that I took up in Quebec, Canada.

Unfortunately most of the photos are not of high quality, since they were taken from a moving car.

Re: Farms
This is very intresting, to see how farms are built and arranged are very intresting. I assume you only have taken and posted pictures of bigger active farms, but it is intresting to see that all have silo towers for the silage. Is it because of wheather conditions, or for easy handling?

Re: Farms
Lennart,

I believe that most of the farms are active dairy farms, except the one on the 8th photo, which looks like a cash crop farm.

Those are not necessarily bigger farms, although some look like larger ones. The average cows per farm in Quebec, has to be around 55-60 cows.

Most of the farmers keep forages in upright silos, which definetely produces higher quality forages. As you can see on the first photo, some people also wrap big square or round bales.

A nice collection of pics Tony ;-)

To the unititiated, those tower silos look rather unusual, dont you think (like a giant missile or even a thermos flask) :-P
