Re: On the move
As you can see, I took the following photos from a moving car.

It's a John Deere 8100, with a Houle liquid manure spreader. I took the last two photos up in Quebec, Canada.

Re: On the move
Great photos Tony :-)

What is the bar behind the discs in the first shots? Is it used to knock down clods behind the discs possibly?

Keep up the great work!

Regards,

TC ;-)

Re: On the move
TC the heavy bar acts as a soil leveler.

I will try to post some photos of one in action.

Re: On the move
Ok thanks Tony.

I have seen a few similar things here, usually angle iron though. Some guys tow coil packers or a cambridge roller (type of cultipacker) behind their discs too, to level & consolidate the seedbed (& to help seal moisture in too).

Cheers,

Craig ;-)

The guy in the 7820 seems like a real genius. Let's count the things he doing wrong shall we? :-\

Re: On the move
You are absolutely right Josh.

I am not sure why some of those drivers don't use the extremity warning lights. Personally I would keep them out all the time, if I would have to drive on roads all the time like those guys do.
