Re: harvest underway in South Australia
Great pics Andy :-)

What sort of plucker front do you run?

How far away is your grain from harvest?

We have had about 60 mm for a period of the last week, ground is full at the moment but 5-10 km from here have only had 22-25 mm. We have had alot of wind & very cold (has been snow up on the mountains).

Real spring weather :-[

TC ;-)

Re: harvest underway in South Australia
TC the plucker is a 'bitsa' bitsa this and that thrown together to do the job mostly made by local engineers with some other second hand gleaner parts:-) just having a bit of a think there must be 4 or 5 different brands of things on it.
the red front and the upper worm is one local blokes design. there is a lower worm that is from a gleaner. the cream coulur plucker parts are another one. and the fingars on the plucker ane again a different company. plus a few odds and ends we have added over the years.

Ok, thanks.

Look forward to seeing some more pics soon :-)

What do you do with your pea trash? Here alot of guys bale it & sell it for garden mulch or keep it to feed back to stock.

TC ;-)

rotary machines make dust out of the straw so nothing. we do have 1000 too many sheep that we put over all our stubbles to fatten lambs and clean up the paddicks for next year.

I thought the stock would like to graze the stubbles, they certainly do here ;-)

I guess it is the time of year you see how well your crops have actually done & how much money (potentially) you might earn (or not earn) :-P

Re: harvest underway in South Australia
In what months you are harvesting grains and other crops in your countries/areas?? For example in Poland we harvest grains in July/August and corn from end of Semptember to November
