kenLove 48818 246 Surinam-pitanga either
Hi Flavio
I like this one too, we have 3 or 4 different test products
with it in Hawaii and Nagoya Japan. In some places it is
wild here.
We always called it E. Uniflora and use the English common
names surinam cherry or pumpkin cherry.
Re: Surinam-pitanga
I found one more photo.
Flavio, which are your favorite fruits to eat?
Re: Surinam-pitanga
Pitanga are my favorite fruit. I saw your pictures about
Pitanga named Surinam Cherry in your site.
Pitanga is a indiginous name (Tupi-Guarani Indians).
Thanks for your e-mail.:-)

Have a nice day,
Re: Surinam-pitanga
Thanks Flavio,
I forgot the botanic name you had listed but I did not
recall seeing it before. Is it from a particular cultivar or
just a different source? I get confused with too many
latin names for the same fruit!
Here is a flower picture i found too.
see you later, I have to harvest avocado & jaboticaba this
By the way, when you go to the grocery, can you tell me how
many products or what types are made from jaboticaba?
jam, jelly & wine? are they sold commercially in some
