Spring Crops in Tasmania
Hi fellow Farm Photo members from all over the world.

Here are some photos I have taken of spring cropping here in Tasmania.

First off, an uncommon sight here in Tassie; a tramline. We dont normally use them here but this particular farmer has a drill he imported from the UK which has a tramliner fitted.

The crop is winter barley. Taken at Tunbridge, in the midlands of Tasmania.

Here a photo from the winterbarley at this moment in Belgium, Northern Europe. In our country we have mainly winterbarley, winter wheat, sugarbeet, maize (silo and cornmaize), patatoes and custards. Also vegetables of course.

The farmer saw this winterbarley at the end of september and in our country, the harvest will be in the beginning of July. Nice pictures, keep us posted on the state of the crops during the months. When will be the harvest in Tasmania and when was it sawn.

Another of the lucerne.

It was very bad with weeds early (capeweed mostly) so had to be sprayed earlier than normal. The lucerne was quite small, but has slowly started to grow away now.

This is a crop featured in some shots I took some time back. The bulbs have started to grow now.
