Re: 585 water pump
350$? that's a lot. We changed the waterpump on our 744 and on our 1056XL for around 125 euro.

Re: 585 water pump
Schizo, these are the prices in Israel it's relatively cheap there were some garages that demanded more.

jdeere, I am filling tap water in the radiator, I didn't understand what you do with the conditioner, you insert it to a radiator?

Re: 585 water pump
good thing you have a Same. :-D
the anti freeze is also lubeing and protecting the inside,so does the cond.
its a liquid additiv you mix into the water = no rust.
btw, anti freeze also keeps the boiling point lower.

Re: 585 water pump
it prob.would, but the anti freeze cost money too, finally its cheaper to replace a waterpumpe.
most of the time they let go after 6-7000 h anyhow.

Re: 585 water pump
I just now saw this theme...

350$ is really a lot, and the old pump is not bad at all... Couldn't you just change the worn out bearrings, and the pump is like new?

I had the same situation few years ago, when my pump was bad. I took it out, changed the seal, and the bearrings, and the pump works fine...

275$ still looks like a lot to me...
