Re: Bizon combine
This is a picture I took in July 1992 at the Royal
Agricultural show in Warwick (England). It was the second of
two BS 5110s to be imported into England. (BS 5110 was the
export name for the BS Z110). This was part of a plan to
start selling Bizons again in Great Britain, after an
absence of nearly 10 years, but unfortunately didn't go
ahead. Another company did sign an agreement with Bizon in
the spring of 1998 to import combines into the UK. (By this
time, Bizons were being painted blue). However, a few weeks
later (on 2nd June 1998), New Holland bought Bizon and the
agreement was scrapped. This machine is NOT a New Holland
design. It is an original Polish design (which first
appeared in 1987) and has 5 rotary separators instead of
conventional straw walkers. I don't know what happened to
this particular machine, but the other one is still being
used in England.
