Re: 555
haha wow you have to be kidding. Verstaile is one of the
best tractors in the world. These things have plenty of
power and are a simple tractor.

Hi,

Yeah, their off the shelf parts and simplicity is what made
their name, and not to mention the mighty 1156!! or Big Roy
either!!

Take care,

Re: 555
I mean the 555 is a real bad tractor not versatile in
general. couple of years ago i was working with one and the
owner told me the transmission, engine, axles, clutch (and
something more i can't think of at the moment) allready had
been broken in the short period of time they owned it. I've
heard more similar stories about the 555, but besides that
i've nothing agains versatile

Re: 555
I have to agree with Frank, those versitile 555's are the $hit$. I had two neighbors who had one and on both the engine blew up. Those cummins V-8 555 were a piece of $hit, but then again show me a V-8 diesel that isn't. Straight 6, only way to go.;-)

Re: 555
Versatiles are awsome, on our farm we had over 10 of them and no mayjor problems yet. You cant blame versatile for a shitty v8, they have no torque and thats all a travtor needs, a triple nickle was the smalest 4wd, and if you treat it nice it will alst, but people think it is a big tractor and everything breaks.

Re: 555
Hey paul
I'm not saying versitile was a bad tractor, hell they were and still are awsome. I'm just refuring to the V-8 engine some of them had in them.;-)
