DBS in action
This photo was taken on 17 May 2003 on the farm Panorama in
the Piketberg District, South Africa. It shows an
Experimental size DBS (Deep Blade system) Ausseeder no-till
planter in action while planting a seeding density and row
width experiment in wheat stubble. This on-farm research is
conducted by the Small Grain Institute of the Agricultural
Research Council local, producers and Agri-business to
promote the use of concervation tillage.

The planter depicted is a miniture model of the commercial
model. DBS Ausseeder developed by Ausplow in Australia is
now built under licence in South Africa. The experimental
model has 7 rows and is fitted with a complete Multi-Stream
air flow system and FarmScan electronics. It was designed
and built by Mr Rinus Willemse, the licence holder in South

, ek like dit so , lyk my ons is meer deeglik ,want die res
van die wereld op die site ( veral YANKS ) doen nie eers die
moeite met verduidelikings nie !!! Dankie . Het sommer
dadelik geweet dit moet Suid-Afrika wees met die agtergrond
berge ..
