Ursus tractors ploughing
An Ursus 1604 (6 cylinder) being followed by two C-385As (4
cylinder) models. All are 4 wheel drive.
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
nice pic

what when was it taken ?
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
This picture was taken in Poland in the 1970s. Note the
non-standard blue colour of the leading tractor (1604
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing

the ploughs are not reversible are they ?
how many furrows is the 1604 pulling ?
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
No, the ploughs aren't reversible. I reckon that the 1604 is
pulling 6 furrows.
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
In what year did Ursus start adding turbos to the 6.8 liter
block ??
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
By the way, why did they changed the type numbers ??
There were C-335, C-360, C-385 A and then 904, 1004, 1204,
1604 but why wasn't the C-385 A called 804 ?? I mean, it was
numbered in the style of the smaller series. :-\
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing

The first turbocharged Ursus model was the 155hp 1604, which
went into production in 1978.

As for the numbering system, I don't know what the logic
behind this was. What I can tell you is the number for each
model, followed by that of its replacement:

C-325- C-328- C-330.
C-4011- C-350 (export version of 4011)- C-355- C-360 (plus 3
cylinder Perkins C-360-3p)- C-362.
C-385- 902- 912.
C-385A- 904- 914.
1201- 1212- 1222.
1204- 1214- 1224.
1604- 1614.
Synchromesh gearbox versions of the heavy range were
introduced in 1989. These were as follows: 932; 934; 1032;
1034; 1132; 1134; 1232; 1234 & 1634.
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
hi. So they were right there in 1978, at the same time as
Zetor introduced the 16045... I have never seen any 160 hp
ursus models here in Holland, older than 10 years...
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
By the way, the 362, till what year are they built ?? i have
seen one with teh C-385 hood style, some weird cab and a
Zetor 6211 alike tranny with the mid mounted lever. I
thought they already replaced them by MF licenses at that
time the 6211 came out.. ???
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
I think the C-362 was built until the late 1980s- I don't
know whether or not it was replaced by a Massey model. I
think it was aimed at the export market, as it is very rare
to see one in Poland. The cab design was not used on
anything else.
Re: Ursus tractors ploughing
That cab (c-362) was also used on a Zetor export version,
the Chinese version of the 6911 built early 90's. It was not
really a 6911 but a hybrid, using the simpliest parts of
older series on a 7211 platform. (my interpretation)
