Yorkshire show in the UK.
Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
Another part of the Dancing Digger display. Considering
there was thousands watching, I was amazed at their
disregard for safety... check out the clown trying to hold
up the JCB (look at the big screen)
Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
Another shot
Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
i dont think the team is totaly disregarding safety !
these guy's are profesionals and must have rehearsed these
moves thousands of times .
if anyone knows how to do it they do
(and im sure health and safety has been given alot of
Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
i dont know what the weight distribution is like on these
things but that last picture looks like hees going over
i will just go outside and see if my 3C will do the same,
ive never tried that one.

I personally think that these guys arnt trained, because
JCB wouldnt spend loads of money training these guys just to
put their arses on the line and probably have a good chance
of dieing, no i think these are new apprentices who are
trained the bare minimals to do the stuff then it doesnt
cost JCB anything if they have broken ribs except the damage
on the machine

I would like JCB to invent a "self writing mechanism on
these machines" like on robot wars because if they are going
to go this far the next step is to tip the bloody things
then the crowd would love to see a self writing system to
turn them back on their fronts (but it might be a bit bad on
the old suspention)

i would like them to try doing this with a fastrak
anybody got any piks?
Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
jim i have to disagree with you here

having watched these displays myself a fiew times, the skill
looks considerable.
all the moves are so syncronised and well ordered i cant see
anyway a "learner" could do such a tidy job!

the nearest ive come to a self righting mechanism is tipping
a Gehl skid steer onto its front with the loader in the air
with a full grab of muck , and managing to get it on its
feet again !

as for having a go with the 3C , good luck !

Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
yes i see what you mean the sincronisation bit is good but
most of those mooves anyone could do as long as they know
what the controls are (thats how i was thinking)
but yes i see getting all in time would be hard

the 3C wasnt quite as good i got a bit scared at about half
that much lean and decided enough was enough
Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
Another unsafe (in my opinion) stunt. The guy was riding in
the bucket whiles the backhoes were bouncing (at 15+ mph)
around the arena. Considering the amount of kids watching, I
was surprised at their lack of safe practices.
Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
well i dont get that one
Re: JCB Dancing Diggers
well i must admit the guy in the bucket is abit much, theres
no ROPS to protect him !

still i suppose they know what their doin
