John Deere 2010 w/ Loader
This is a picture of the first tractor my uncle bought new
when he started farming. He still uses it today on his farm
in Eastern South Dakota. Picture taken Fourth of July
weekend 2003.

Re: John Deere 2010 w/ Loader
Did this ever work ??

...weird loader. Must be trouble to steer on older,
non-powersteered tractors with this wide loader and big
heavy bucket...:-\

Re: John Deere 2010 w/ Loader
Yeah, it worked (and still does). The bucket was controlled
by cable. They used to use it to get silage from the silage
pile to feed cattle (in fact I think you can still see some
in the bucket). He now has a 7800 w/ 740 loader that is
used for feeding cattle.

Re: John Deere 2010 w/ Loader
I think these were used out west and in the western plains
as a bull rake to lift loose hay or bales into large stacks
using a fork like attatchment. Much wild hay in those areas
used to be kept in huge piles to shed the small amounts of
rain in those areas before the round baler. Is this a
Farmhand loader?
