Re: Pivot on bean
Hi Stu,
This is a edible bean crop, not soybean. In Brazil, is
called Black Bean.
About flash, I don't remenber, but sometimes is used.

Take care,
Flavio

Re: Pivot on bean
Hi Flavio,
I don't know this bean either. it's larger than the black
bean types I know of. Can you send me the botanic name?
better yet could you please send a few seeds to try?
How is it used, soup? Frejoles negro?
Anyway it looks very good.

Re: Pivot on bean
Ken,
The botanic name is Phaseolus vulgaris. I think is same
Frejoles negro.
I try post some seeds for you.

Re: Pivot on bean
Thanks much Favio.
I think it should do well here since the Phaseolus lunatus
does well. I'm surprised no one grows this here but there
may be factors I dont know.
Thanks again

Re: Pivot on bean
Is that one of those high profile, like very high profile
pivots? I thought they only used those for sugar cane and
orchards and so on.

Re: Pivot on bean
A later post of Flavio's said it was a Fockink (
http://www.fockink.ind.br ). My portuguese is not too
special but if I read the page right it says they make units
up to 6m tall... That's one tall pivot!
