Nuffield stuck
Picture taken by me in the UK in the 70's. This tractor had
gone to the rescue of another, similarly bogged but attached
to a plough (no pic available at the moment). Both tractors
had sunk deeply into the heavy wet clay soil until they were
almost 'free-wheeling' - the wheels were no longer getting
any purchasde, and they couldn't go forward, or down, any
further. No-one there, and unfortunately I was unable to
stay arouund to see what happened next. They should never
have gone in with the ground in that conditiom. It was old
meadow-land by a brook.

Re: Nuffield stuck
...Not really a problem... My brother has been bogged down
like that, once. He was far away from home, about 100km
away, seeding grain for a couple of days. He took a wooden
beam and hooked it to the wheel with a chain. the tractor
pulled itself, with the chain, onto the beam. doing this a
few times over and over, he was free within a half an
hour.:-)
