Re: 8260
We work in so dust conditions because we want to sow rape
behind wheat. Usually we sow it towards 20/08 so we can't
wait the first rains...

Re: 8260
Hey Jose & RV

Because a Massey Ferguson can't finish like other tractors
when the conditions are still good ! So this kind of
tractors must work in hard and dusty conditions ;-) !!!

Greetings

Re: 8260
Is this year like every year or an exceptional one for you
Jose in Spain ? In France it's an atypical year. What kind
of crops do you grow ? Rape seed ?

Re: 8260
Hey Jose,
Thanks for your answer.
I work in a farm who have Rape seed (good year), Wheat (mid
year), Corn for silage (not good year too dust and hot),
Winter barley (bad year because of cold winter), Spring
barley (not so bad), sunflower (not yet harvested), Oat for
our rabbits... No irigation on the farm, no sugar
beet/patatoes... Where are you in Spain ? How many
hectares/acres do you have ?

Re: 8260
Ok Jose, thanks for all your informations :-) !
I wasn't born in a farmers' family but I work in a farm at
each holidays and as soon as I have time which have 180
hectares : 40 in permanent meadows and 140 in crops quoted
above. The farmer also have 45 cows and their calves, 15
renewal young cows and 2 bulls. He also raise 25 babybulls
(I don't know how to say in english ???) in fattening, 50
guinea fowls, 100 rabbits, some chickens and ducks, 50
turkeys, 50 geese and 250 layers. So you can guess that our
days are well filled ;-) !!!

Re: 8260
Main Verte, you were correct with 'layers', although I think
it is a colloquial (slang) term for laying hens....

France ;-) ).
Like Jose I'm very happy to be able to know agriculture in
other countries which I've never cross !
Don't worry Jose, your english is good :-) !
