1979 MF 148 4x4
First: Sorry for blur, bad pics. It was getting dark, and my cellphone don't like that ~X( I found this tractor for my previous boss. It has 6500 hrs, but totally rebuild engine, totally rebuild clutch, frontaxle and brakes, 4 new tires, new starter, el. wiring, new snowchains and so on. The lower part of the grill is missing because it had a front end loader before, and the brackets was bolted at that place.

Yes, the 148 is pretty rare, but here in Norway there are still some of these still going strong. I don't think we paid too much eiter, because: Price on engine rebuild at workshop in 2005: 3000 EUR. I guess the tires are about 1200 EUR, tirechains are about 600 EUR, And when You add complete new clutch, and complete new brakes with new drums, I don't think 5000 EUR is high for this tractor.

The Ford Granada on the picture is one of 4 Granada Mk1series2 that I have, and here is the golden 3.0 GL aut estate together with my 2,6 GL aut 4dr. Both are 1977 with sunroof, power steering, green tinted windows, fog lamps and so on.... Not farmrelated, but I just had to ......... ;))

Love those my first car was a 1973 Ford Consul 2000L coupe...coppermetallic with black vninyltop, sold it 2 years ago. My parents had Ford Granada Estate 2300 1972. First one arrived in sweden we bought it in 1974. My Consul I bought in 1989 and it was a GREAT car.

I also love to see rare models of tractors, and it seems that MF was sold with many different conversions and models in different countries. I know there is a few 135 4x4 in Germany, and in france I believe they had both MF 42 and MF 145. We don't have these models, but I know a MF collector that merged a 165 rear axle with a 135, and he got him self a 145.
The most rare Ferguson/MF here in Norway is TE 20 with Perkins diesel (P3 conversion) and 4x4!! and we also, during -70's, had a forestry conversion called Super-Per. This was 2wd MF 165, 168 or 175 with 38" rear- and 28" front-wheels for better ground clearence and flotation in forest at winter.

Nice stuff Kjetil. A friend of mine has a 148 too, but that's a 2WD version.
