Ford 5000 Hytorque
Thanks to Mike Hall for these photos. It looks like another
attempt at driving the front wheels. I don't have any
details about it. Does anybody?

It looks like a hydraulic fwd like Deere had on the 3130.
But that never took off because the hydromotors didn't have
enough torque, they needed a bigger reduction gear than the
front axle could fit.

Did the JD 4230 also have hydraulic fwd(because it has a
portal axle and also very big reduction gears)?

I thought not all 4240 had HFWD, they also had MFWD.
I thought the HFWD was mainly for the European market and
just on the smaller models ???

jd used the hfwd in 2030(also mfwd) 2130(also mfwd) 3130
3140(early) 4030 4230 4430 4630 4040 4240 4440 4640 .
hey Renze 4240 with mfwd not , was 4240s .
I think 20 series also have hfwd but don't surely .I see a
3020 4020 and 4320 hfwd
